Possible Side Effects

Include but are not limited to:

  • Swelling
  • Bleeding
  • Pain
  • Redness
  • Burning
  • Tingling

During treatment you will experience a slight burning smell. This is perfectly normal for the skin to react this way and is not a cause for concern. Slight discomfort can be felt during treatment, but your clinician will try to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
The treatment results in the formation of small dry spots or patches. These crusts normally fall away in around 5-7 days (longer for more invasive treatments) and will leave behind a reddened area. This reddened area is fresh skin that will be very sensitive to UV rays and therefore must be protected with a SPF50.
Results can be seen immediately but the true effect of treatment can be seen at 3 months.
Multiple treatments may be required.  Although Plasma Fibroblast is classed as a permanent treatment, some areas are semi-permanent and may need another treatment at 6-12 months.
